Fantastic vintage medicine model of a lifesize human torso made in Bulgaria in the 1950s. The model is made out of cellulose which is kind of plastic used widely back in the day. This materal was replaced by other types of plastic and is now used only for making ping-pong balls.
The torso is a school model comig from a university of medicine or biology.
The model is in a good condition but is missing most of the organs. It also has some cracks that are visible from the photos. The from panel needs to be sabilazed by a rope to stay in place. It is just an astonishing decorative piece for specialists and medicine and biology enthusiasts.
The model is 70 cm high, the stand is 41 cm long and 30 cm deep.
