Vintage Handmade Painted Chest, Traditional Wooden Wedding Chest
A lovely vintage wooden painted chest coming from the villages in the Rhodope mountains of Bulgaria. Beautiful hand-made and hand-painted chest. It is a very typical piece of furniture for this part of Bulgaria. Usually, these chests were given as presents to a wedded couple and were used to keep rugs, blankets, or clothes.
This chest is made of solid wood and is in great condition. The wood itself has cracks from being old and dry.
The trunk is 81 cm wide, 31 cm high, and 33 cm deep.
